The Duncan 802
Hi guys, just wondered if its possible to increase the power of the fac version of the HW100. From the factory they make 24fpe, but I was looking for more like 30+ fpe. Is there an outfit that modifies these, and of so, any idea of possible cost? Cheers Duncan Quote Link to post
AR177 588
would you not be able to take it to a gunsmith to turn it up? I would imagine 24ftlbs is not the highest they will go, give them a ring and ask them ATB Adam Quote Link to post
weekend.rifle 44
there is a video on you tube to show you how to do this im sure, looked quite simple too. Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
Why bother, they do not have the greatest shot counts to start with, going FAC would halve it, buy a nice Rapid FAC! Quote Link to post
AR177 588
Its already doing 24ftlbs mole, but your right they do get like 20 shots from a 200 fill ATB Adam Quote Link to post
Froudy 40
I was just thinking that, at 24 ftlb u wouldn't get many shots I wouldn't of thought, as don't you only get or so on a normal 12 ftlb? Atb Froudy Quote Link to post
The Duncan 802
My .177 gets 110 shots at 11.5 fpe. 20 shots at 24fpe does sound very low. Rapid? Yuk! No offence intended Quote Link to post
milegajo 595
Saw a Sumatra for £395 new on gunwatch. Puts out serious ft/lbs I'm told. Cant work out if i like it or not though. I think 30ftlbs is the max Hw100's put out, again only what ive read... Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
The good old Rapid has a humungous buddy bottle! Plenty of air for lots of FAC shots. Another gun to look at which is superb in FAC guise is the humble BSA Super 10. at 28 foot pound you get about 60 shots per fill. Though I could not possibly comment on how I know that! paulus 26
the main problem once you get past 30flbs is not shot count but pellet weight and consistancy. im yet to find one in .20 cal that can handle the 42flb setting on my rapid Quote Link to post

The Duncan 802
Beginning to think daystate. Not the airwolf though, not keen on a rifle I have to recharge with air and electricity. Quote Link to post

BEARINATOR 2,829
Hi i am thinking of buying HW100s how can i tell if it is FAC or not It will need chronoed but if it's out the shop then they won't sell it unless you provide a fire arms license, there is a few lads bought second hand guns for them to find out it's above the limit Quote Link to post
