sorry i dont have this pic but you sand and shape the handle go through all the grits of the sand paper till you get every blemish and make it realy smooth

then you can start with putting oil on the wood when you have put a few thin coats of oil on let it all dry then rub it with the finest wire wool clean it up then more oil till you get to what you like.

then ya move on to the sheath draw a pattern put it on to the leather draw round and cut it out and cut the belt loop

then i put in the stitch grove and one next to it for looks

174.jpg

after all this start to dye the leather

176.jpg

177.jpg

soon as the leather is dry rub it all as it has a powder on it when it drys . then ya put in the holes for stitching on the sheath and belt loop sew in the belt loop waterproof the inside then sew up the sheath soon as all this is done sand the exess leather of the edge till smooth go round the edge with the edge bevler dye the edge then burnish this means you rub it realy hard with a bit of wood or antler till it goes shiney and hard do this on all the edge's to get a nice finish then watterproof it all i put 5 layers of leather wax on then 2 layers of leather pollish and buff it all up to get this result the finished artical

he aint for telling Gafer, i asked the same question out of intrest and he rightly wants to keep it to himself, bit of a signature technique an all that.
