hi all here is my 2 jill kits, on the left is the jill i bred, she is 7 weeks old, and fully wiened, on the right is the eu kit i just picked up, she is 6 and a half weeks old and also fully wiened, mines alot bigger, but everyone has said my kits are alot bigger? do you guys know any apparent reasons why? shes on a tin of catfood a day so nice and fat, what you all think to next seasons grafters? thanks!

the clue is in the name mate, cat food, for cats, ferret food for, yep you guessed it, ferrets, if ye cannae even provode them wae a healthy balanced diet maybe ye should pass em on an go back to xbox

the dark one could have been the runt, its maybe from small parents , lists of reasons why a kits smaller than another one is endless

 

one thing i will say is dump the cat food , get some flesh down them , cat food is for cats

i did forget to add i mix whiskas with dr johns dry ferret food, they do get rabbit in winter, but in the summer i cannot cope with flys in the garden from the rabbits, so i buy them the best tinned and dry i can get.

i do feel stupid, i never thought of that, but would they still eat in the night? mine are usually snooked up on a night, and what about them storing it in the bed ??

when you remove in the morning check the bedding they can be feckers for hoarding you could also tie the carcass down to the mesh so they feed straight off it Edited July 9, 2012 by hunter1372

fook me bred a litter of ferrets and dont know if ferrets are active at night, thats on the first page mate

You'll have to put one of those solar garden lights in your hutch so they can see it, then they'll stay awake and eat it...

 

I chuck a rabbit in at about 7pm, clear out in the morning. As has been said above, tie to mesh or side of hutch so they can't drag it off. That helps get them stronger too as they try and pull it everywhere.
