This is on a fishing pond near to where i mooch about with the mut's..she has not done a bad job raising them as there is foxes all over at the moment..

I bet the crow's and magpie's have played a part in that Paul..

quite possibly and maybe the fooking mink. makes me laugh we have one of the largest water vole populations in britian and yet nobody is controlling the mink on the canals :cray:

That's a shame as the Mink will wipe them out sooner or later..

British waterways should be doing some Mink control. If not it may be an opportunity for a local person to get a bit of pest control permission along the banks.

ive already got permision on both sides but the bit in the middle and the towpath are as you say british waterways

Smart those pics and like you say a good number of little un's which is nice to see..will those be from a second clutch at this time of year do you reckon guys? ATB Andy. :thumbs:

Deffo got to be a second clutch Andy i have seen some else where nearly ready to fly..this duck may not of been so lucky with her first clutch as i have not seen any big immature's so to speak she must of reclutched..and trying again.
