Well, I'll reitterate for the THIRD time.... I can't see what BL is getting so excited about with this picture ??? The dog may be the best "marker" in the world, but if someone had posted this pic and said the dog was watching people on the other side of the fence, it would have made as much sense as saying it was "marking" !! The way it's standing you could have said it's "pointing" To use this pic to big-up a dog doesn't make sense ..........

CP, would you accept that I was not biggin any dog up, in fact I wrote a simple post, that I thought was worth mentioning,

on the sunday when I returned from the show, the photo was posted I think on Tuesday, and I can assure you I did not know any photo had been taken, that is straight,

BL. read back thru' your posts... In one you mention "minshaws" and in the same sentence, refer to the dog in the pic as a "proper rabbiting dog", in another post you say the dog was the only one at the show, including terriers, to mark the sett, which was blatently wrong as D & N's dogs all marked it aswell ! Now, you may not think those posts were "bigging the dog up", but they certainly sound like it !

Now, I've got nothing against Whin, in fact I'm sure he loves the banter and the stick he gets, and I'm sure his dogs do him proud, but once again, I can't see how you can enthuse on here about a dog, and use a pic of it standing next to a container to proove how good it is.

 

I'm begginning to sound as repetitive as him now, LOL , so I'll just leave it

HEY MOSCOW, IN MY TRAVELLS you allways meet the mouth, A put an honest post to my opinion, and I stated A proper rabbit dog,

and there is a dog man thank you Darbo, if you come from Liverpool I new a few lads from there,, we were doing the RUNCORN EXPRESSWAY, early 70s WIMPEY ASPHALT, WE HAD DIGS IN THE DINGLE, a district of Liverpool, I had my works van parked outside and my running dog, lying in the van, great digs, (((( and not one bit of bother,, that was like 40 year back,,,

thats right Andy and you cleaned the fells, except for foxes and a few mink,and now you Lads travel, anything up to round trip 200 miles, for a few ole runs,

myself I just go my own little way, I am not night hunter, well most of the time I am not,, but old MR CP HE IS A real messer,,, and some day we will meet and I hope I meet mr Rabbit Hunter,,,

What have I done to upset you BL ? I've been polite and not one insult !! My oppinion of a photo differs to yours, so the threats start !! You have made yourself look a fool, and it seems you are now realising it.

If i wasn't prepared to travel BL i'd not keep a lurcher to be honest,you know the craic down my way when it comes to game? More chance of finding an oasis of water in the Sahara desert the size of England than finding enough game for a lurcher to get excited about ..i've done the majority of my hunting in the Borders and it's far from wiped out of that i can assure you,although where i hunted rabbits in and around Beattock and Moffat and had little fuss in bagging 40's,50's and even 60 bunnies but since the M74 was upgraded there is knack all or nothing worth the 150 mile return trip to bother about?...infact the last time i went i caught 2 rabbits and called in at Lockerbie on the way home and caught a half canny bag full in and around the grounds of a large hotel to the North of Lockerbie on the old road but the lack of bunnies wasn't due to me killing them all just the building of the motorway ..but old puss i know where's there's any amount of them ...if times change for the better then i'll be back with avengeance to "mug" what i can ...ATB Andy.
