What mono

I am putting new mono on 3 of my reel's, 1 is for lure fishing and 2 are for pike/carp fishing, i usually use fox soft steel, but i am not 100% happy with it, what do you use and why.

Couldnt say why I use it, probably cos its not let me down yet, but, I use GT80 from Gardener, in 12lb.

I can put a 4oz lead 100 yards and that does me. If I fished gravel pits, with loads of bars, more often, I`d step it up to 15lb I spose for a bit more umph. I think the type and size of reel your putting it on also dictates what line you can get away with.

I use berkley whiplash and power pro braid wich i find very good.

daiwa sensor for me used it for years, As good as any other line out there and a fraction of the price.

billy i will agree with neil daiwa sensor is cheap as chips but good line and you can get bulk spools check sports direct out on line they have a good deal on braid at the moment john

I have ended up putting power pro braid on the lure reel, i said i wouldn't i know, but i have to try it, still not sure on the mono, thank's for reply's lad's.
