stolen rabbits

last night my mate alan and i decided to go to the paddocks that are in our village for a bit of dusk shooting of rabbits. There are two paddocks with a fence down the middle - I went left, alan right. We could see each other i was first to shoot a rabbit, and in just over an hour i had four and keeping an eye on where they were. But when i went down to pick up I could only find three - the one by the bush had gone. So when I walked back up to alan, and asked him how many he had got, I was amazed when he said four, but he had shot seven and could not find three. He then told me that when he shot one rabbit, a young fox's face appeared in the hedge- then another young fox came from behind almost crawling out and was just about to pick up rabbit when Alan shot the fox. So as quick as Alan was shooting the rabbits, the fox's were pinching them. So out of 11 rabbits shot, we lost 4 to the foxes.

Well it might've been a hosepipe but for the ban .
