baw 4,360
They had to reject the cva. When rangers said they were treating the football creditors different to other creditors by law hmrc had to reject it.
baw 4,360
Duff & phelps have made a nice wee earner from rangers without actually doing anything
Malt 379
From what I can read it won't really make much difference... Whoever was involved will just buy the assets and carry on as a new company. I can't see the SFA/SPL not allowing them entry back into the SPL..
baw 4,360
Hmrc are owed £35 mill could be £100 mill, they'll want that
scothunter 12,609
If I won the euro millions I'd buy it. If you hated us then, you would really hate us if I owned it lol
Malt 379
Hmrc are owed £35 mill could be £100 mill, they'll want that They'll only get what they get from the sale of the assets, once somebody has bought them and set up as a new company with them the new owners will owe them sweet FA.. WILF 49,575
Hmrc are owed £35 mill could be £100 mill, they'll want that the only thing that may be worth that is the stadium and the land itself.....subtract the cost of the sale and actually owning the site while it is up for sale, it may not be worth their while. Chances are they will have a deal with someone at around 5%-10% and call it done.#

gonetoearth 5,144
Think you had better take a reality check here any new club that is formed is not Glasgow rangers you start from zero no history no right to play in the prem how can it be any other way , other wise pay you debts and stay the same you can't have it both ways
Malt 379
Think you had better take a reality check here any new club that is formed is not Glasgow rangers you start from zero no history no right to play in the prem how can it be any other way , other wise pay you debts and stay the same you can't have it both ways I don't agree, it'll be the same club for all intents and purposes. Same fans, same team, same pitch, etc. It'll just be a new business maybe with a slightly different name. If a building company went bust and a new person bought all the assets, re-employed the same staff and took on the same customers, it'd still be the same company just with a different name. Using your logic, Manchester United should have lost the right to their history first when they floated to became a PLC, then again when they were brought back into private ownership via the Glaziers. You cant change history..

scothunter 12,609
As Walter said, it's not that rangers couldn't pay, under handed people didn't pay!
