Dan McDonough 560
It's not for everybody but there's a lot of it so there is something for everybody...not that your going to find it first time out. I know I like it, I can't speak for anyone else. All of my questions are generated out of curiosity and the fact that I know litte about much of anything over there. If you like where your at then you've got it made as far as I'm concerned. I think your reading into it a little farther than nessesary. Quote Link to post
trappa 518
There are lots of legalities over here, our gun laws are borderline ridiculous and so are our hunting with hounds laws now, but our country is second to none. The fishing in Britain is arguably the best in the world. Our shooting of pheasants and grouse are arguably the best in the world. Our falconers are second to none. Our stalking, again, is second to none. Dont ever presume quantity of land can outdo quality. Plus , away from hunting , many appreciate our National health service and our social welfare system. America is a great place, im there again in a few weeks, but im always glad to be back. 3 Quote Link to post
baw 4,360
I'm only answering your question Dan regarding what keeps us here and not moving to America. If you've never been here, what makes you think your lifestyle over there is better? I've read what you've said on this thread regarding selling dogs to pay for fuel for hunting trips and selling what you hunt. That doesn't sound like paradise to me, more like hell. I stay in the highlands, I have one of the best salmon rivers, the Spey a short distance away. It attracts Americans by the bus load. I'm surrounded by breath taking scenery, abundance of game, mouth watering stalking if that's your incline. Maybe you should come over and sample our way of life, I think you'll find it a real eye opener but I'd never be as condescending as to say you should move here. Come today though, the sun is out lol. Quote Link to post
