Hawke gets my vote.

 

What's your budget?

 

Probably not in your budget buddy but if it is go for a Hawke Sidewinder Tac 30 4.5 - 14 x44 with half mildots.

 

I use a Hawke Sidewinder 3-12 x 50 30 model. Not the TAC version but its still a brilliant scope. I haven't seen one yet that I feel betters it by much less the expensive German models.

 

I reckon the TAC 30 is better for air rifle use though and its what I'm getting in Jan.

got a ags 3--9x40 mildot elite tactical on at the mo. got a hawke hd 3-9x40 spare but i think my ags is broken??!

 

when you adjust the zoom ring it should be smooth but it goes from stiff to slack?

and if you zoom all the way whilst looking through it surely it would be a smoot zoom, but it goes from 3-5ish smoot then stopps then [bANNED TEXT] u turn it to about 7 it does nothing then all the way to 9 it starts zooming again?

 

think theres deffo sumthing fishy going on with it. might put the hawke on n see [bANNED TEXT] thats like because today at 34 yards i was getting really wide, sporadic, unacceptable groupings

 

then i did a 50yard 7 shot spread was about the size of a golf ball

 

it cant be the gun tho i know its only had about 400 pellets through it but it should be a lot better than that

 

seemed fine a few weeks ago so godknows at 40 yards i was getting 5p sized groupings i know it hasnt bedded in yet but it should deffo be more consistent. anyway sorry for the rant, just got an excuse to get a better scope now
