not bad mate.....if your gonna shoot through branches try it in manual focus...auto focus will struggle with the clutter around your shot....with your flowers go to the highest f number on your lens....ideally in those situations your looking for a narrow depth of field which will isolate a subject and give you a nice blurry background :thumbs:

Its just a cheap compact I have so I,m not sure about the lens mate, I,ll try the manual setting though,

another question I have, my bird shots are slightly hazy when I take the shots on bright sunny days :hmm:

Suspect your to far away some compacts shake a lot at the top end of the zoom...maybe invest in a wee tripod see if that helps....if you look at the dog shot jumping the gate the dog appears out of focus and the gate is sharp.....maybe if you can get your shutter speed up a bit...is there a sports mode on your compact?

I have a children playing mode lol but I think I tryed that and it didn,t make any difference, I think I,ll have to start saving my pennys for a half decent camera :thumbs:
