Moderator Question

I've recently bought my new rifle in .308 and need to get it screw cut to fit a moderator. What's the best moderator out for this calibre ?

 

Any advice would be appreciated.

jackson rifles . i got one for my 243 and its like shooting a .22 now recoil is gone aswell.ASE ULTRA .Far better than T8 and wildcats £250 1/2 unf thread

I thoght you where on about a human type of mod there..can't help you with gun wise or site wise for that matter..

i have a ase compact on my 270 but could be used on a 308 also due to the exit hole on it being 30 cal. very good mod and tames the 270 down well.

there not cheap at £300 but you can pick them up second-hand for around £180 to £200 pound.

 

what rifle have you got and what barrel is it sporter or varmint. if so i would go m14x1 on sporter barrel for thread. and m18x1 if its a varmint barrel

I use a P E S moderator they come along way down barrel, but are very good I have had mine on 270 243 and at present its on a 6.5x55 really good silencer not as big diameter as T8 and the Gun seems better balanced it is very much a preference thing

There isn't a best moderator, the moderator each person has is the best!
