gurtwurz 793
hi lads, as some of you may know, i'm getting a new stock made for the pro sport, a fibreglass/resin mannlicher/stutzen type of thing, which is great, but means i'm without the pro for a month, so my geezer tells me no problems, i thought, and pulled the hw100kt out of the gun case, gave it a dusting as its been a while, and took it out for some target practise. i've had it out a few times over the last 6 months, on the rare occasions i've been lamping in the motor but i havent really had a,well, proper go with it for what seems like ages so i thought i should get to know it again. targets set up from 25m out to 50m, the gun performs as faultlessly as you would expect, and dare i say it, i'm not too diabolical with it either, but somethings missing... the problem is, since getting a really good springer that just seems to work for me, that the clinical nature of a pcp makes it seem like work really, i'm missing the fun element that only a springer gives me. its almost at the point where i've thought about flogging the 100 but the missus has threatened to kill me if i do as she uses it in the summer for static hunting... i never thought i'd start thinking of the 100 as a girls gun, but there you go... luckily, however, the guy i sold my elderly hw80 to has told me to go round his and borrow it for as long as necessary, for which i am truly greatful as it means i'll have a springer for the bisley round of the southern hunters series, and so i can relish going out with an accurate sporter rather than having to use a gun purely as a means to an end. i still feel like i've lost a limb though!!! cheers, wurz 1 Quote Link to post
