I do go to shows but some people piss me of Albert on again you try and take all the credit what about matt does he not deserve the credit

DBs,

I am perfectly entitled to give my opinion on the Mourne Show - as I said went last year for the first time and was impressed by the organisation that went into it, the efficient way judging and racing were carried out and the people I met. I even had some good craic with some of the guys I had 'crossed swords' with on the forums.

Of course I give credit to Matt(s) for the work they put in on the shows and to the Lees from Rosscrea for the excellent way they ran the racing at Birr and stewarded the show rings.

I NEVER claim credit for anyone elses' work and I admire and I am not slow to praise and support, if I can, excellence in others - The Mourne Show & Tango fall into this category!

thanks very much lol its nice to know a few like the show, i organize it all but i have to say without the help of good friends on the day it wouldnt happen at all. db thanks for the vote of confidence but albert is a good help to the mourne and has sponsered the digging to make it bigger and better when he didnt have to bother,i personally think we should try to get on better as theres more than we need against us and our countrysports.as far as the mourne and the digging goes i hope winner is right as the more entries we get then the more support it will show, i just got a new idea,we could have a hunting life members class for all breeds so we all know each other lol see you all on the 20th and thanks.

Ther is a tunnel like a earth then you put a dead fox or live fox at the end then put something to block it like wire infront of the dog and the fox in the game box let your dog work it to se if it a gooden GO ON YOUTUBE AND WATCH IT!

oh right you seen the videos on youtube, that are from various european countries that its still legal to do that it has been illegal here for years. In my opinion it is not much of a test for small terrier and i dont think it would indicate if its a gooden. Instead of watching you tube you should go on and read some of these links and educate yourself a bit young man.

A VERY HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ALL MY FRIENDS IN THE COUNTRY SPORTS  ARENA
As we approach the end to 2025, I would like to reach out and personally thank  all my friends in Country Sports for all  the hard work you  put into  organising our dog show and race days in 2025 for all to enjoy. These were all fantastic events and truly served as a wonderful window for our Country Sports fraternity.
Days like these at our dog shows in the summer are so important for our community, and your details and dedication to the cause has really shone through. So many charities have benefited over the years and so many new friends made at these get togethers  by like minded people. This was very evident in July this year when the Burren Working Dog Club gave £17,OOO to a charity. What an achievement.

I know there will be some very sad homes  this year,  with places missing at the  dinner table  in  our Country Sports  community. Can I please offer my heartfelt sympathy to all those people , and  hopefully with Gods help you will get through to brighter days ahead.

Many thanks to the McGrath Racing Club Carlow, for a great day out at the 5 Nations and who has travelled north and south of the border to run our racing so efficiently and helped me out on many occasions..  A special word of thanks to Tally Ho ( Peter Morgan ) for keeping the Country Sports window open in the dark days of winter by organising your virtual competitions and giving away so many generous prizes in return. This is so greatly appreciated .

And Finally, to my mentors and long term friends  Mr 5 Nations himself, yes The King of the Castle Albertj Titterington and his lovely wife Irene. Albert it is great to see you getting back to health again, and we look forward to seeing you back on the scene in 2026.

Finally, Finally, may I take this opportunity  to  wish you all North and South of the border and further afield a very Happy Christmas and  Prosperous  New Year.

To we meet again in 2026 God Bless

A Tribute to the late John Shaw who passed away  last Thursday 6th November 25

      I Am Free
Do not grieve for me now my  friends and family, I am free
I am following the path God Laid for me
I took his hand when I heard him call
I turned my back and left it all
I could not stay another day
To Love, to live, to hunt, to show my treasured Whippets, or play.
I found a peace at close of day.
Be not burdened with the times of sorrow
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow
Perhaps my time seemed all to brief
Do not lengthen it now with undue grief
Lift up your hearts my friends and share with me
      God wanted me now,
      He set me free.
John, we will love you forever and you will be sadly missed by your loving family and all your Country Sporting Fraternity and in the show ring.
May the Angels above give you the best seat in Heaven and may your gentle soul rest in peace.
      For Country Sports Fraternity
      Margaret Mc Stay
