BrianSteven72 369
pin the skin out on a board somewhere dry and warm for a few days and it will dry out and keep the shape that you have pinned it in Edited February 10, 2012 by BrianSteven72 Quote Link to post

StevoSmith 147
As has been said above mate..pin skin to board then rub on salt to bring all moisture out of the skin scrape the moisture away and repeat with salt...Also for flexability it has been said that each animal has enough brains to tan it's own hide. The process is as follows....once all moisture is removed from skin boil the animals brain with 1 cup of water for 10 mins....blend into an oil then rub onto the skin side not pelt side allow to dry overnight...in morning buff the skin with sandpaper and apply oil again and and put skin into a warm towel and leave overnight again....Hey presto one tanned subtle hide for you to work with. Hope this helps and let us know how you get on buddy ATB Stevo Edited February 10, 2012 by StevoSmith 1 Quote Link to post

2.8 guy 403
hi rabbit whats the pelt for, if its for a dummy i cut mine into a rectangle fold it over fur inside then stitch it up so you got like a tube, leave one end undone, then fold it back the other way round fur on out side, slide a paint roller sleve in the middle stitch up , gives a soft feel but hardish inside you can then make it heavier by adding weight in the middle,if you want to Quote Link to post
