think thats my season over, gutted

Recommended Posts

was out early this morn, enjoying walking with the dogs, had a few decent chases, then on one disaster. the dog kicked up a long ear and must have turned half a dozen times before long ears went under a fence into a wood. the dog cleared the fence with both front legs but one of its back legs clipped the top wire which caused him to spin in the air and come down hard against a tree. all i could hear is really loud squealing, and feared the worst. when i ran over, he was lying on his side squealing badly, and after what felt like ages got up , with heavy limping, thankfully he is not severly injured, but had enough of a thud to force resting him up a while , i always stop hunting in end of feb beginning of march, so chances of him being fit before end of season are slim

he is whippet/grey

we update, the dog up moving about but still limping, i ended up taking him to vet just to be sure of no bone damage, lucky none was done, vet reckons he was very lucky an its poss, his front shoulder took majority of the impact. so complete rest , as i thought though , season is over. hope everyone had a better season than me. ATB

Pleased to hear it ain't a long term injury..he'll be chomping at the bit come the end of summer you can be sure of that!! The season is all but over matey so i'd not be too fussed about having to draw stumps at this stage of the season anyway? ATB Andy.
