One of our's is a nightmare when he's been nettled ,but the other dogs don't seem to bother.

He runs around the house like a loony, scratches his bed up,we give him antihistamine, and it does calm him down abit

Does anyone think that the more they get nettled the better/more resistant they become?

As young adults mine have all gone through the loopy, stage with stings, but as they get older i never see them scratching anymore?

Definetly Moll, the old greyhound isn't bothered with them but the young bitch goes mad and scratches the cushions off the settee

mine was a nightmare when she was a pup, going mental sprinting round the living room and scratching the carpet for a good couple of hours after we got back. She still does it now a bit but it's not as bad since I had her running alongside the bike, obviously toughens up the pads. They're still going to get stung between the pads though, nettles are a proper pain in the ass, my hands are stung to buggery every time I've been ferreting!
