Nade 1
Hi, I wanted to ask what's a good effective way to polish a beech wood stock? I've got a Pro Sport in Beech (So I believe) and I'm looking for a good polish to keep it well maintained after a shooting day. Generally I give the bluing a lightly oiled rub down and I use some standard wood polish for guitars for the stock (Thanks Brother!). But I've been reading that using the wrong polish can long-term do damage to the stock. Is this right? Could anyone recommend me a good polish for a beech stock rifle, would be highly appreciated. Thanks EDIT: I'm using this: Edited January 10, 2012 by Nade Quote Link to post
19powell90 89
doesnt wood have to be lacquered or varnished before polishing? your prosport will just be oiled. if you just want to protect your stock then use something thing like ccl conditioning oil or even birchwood casey gun wax if you want to oil it use birchwood casey tru oil. atb scott Quote Link to post
