The dog is my dads and he stopped trialing before he got the dog 10 yrs ago. He has been used as a gundog successfully for 9 years. I don't think the price is unreasonable given his breeding (on both sides) and the fact his previous litters sold for much more than the stud fee per pup.

doing a bit of googling and it looks like "Brackenfarge badger" isn't directly off Druid, he's off Moss who's Druid's son, so this dog's a great-grandson of Druid. Still a top class pedigree, and much closer to those old lines thanmost modern dogs, but might be worth pointing out.
