you can make you own rings aswell drill a hole in a brush handel stick the end of the straining wire in and wrap the wire around the handel, cut and solder

i am wondering were the best place to get slippers from for purse nets and what are your thoughts on them i just want to try to make some thing different and do you know how much they are roughly thanks daryl

I make my own out of stainless welding rod's..all i do is hammer headless nail's into my work bench at the required distance apart and wrap the rod's around them..when im done and they have all been cut seperatly i go over the cut edge's with a flat file to get rid of any sharpness.

got you he means sliders made some out of leather once worked quite well

millet any chance a sticking up a couple a pics or a description of your jig??? i have tried the sliders on nets but dont own any nets with them on, a mate has offered to make me some nets an i have some rods here, so id like a few on them to compare to the old rings over a period of time :thumbs:

thats what i think we talking about joe :D i didnae know netrigger done nets with sliders, i got a longnet off him a while back an everybody that has seen it/used it has commented on his skills, same as they few purse nets the man sent me along with the longnet, they are the best i have, i keep saying i need to get more off him, think i need to put me hand in me pocket now an order some more :icon_redface::laugh::thumbs:

not to difficult to make ive got nets with sliders made of hardwood years old , and you can use plastic to for sliders even better as they dont rust and very durable ,but type of thing i would do if im real bored but easy i make spinners for creels , simliar to a slider for rabbit nets , going get a jig made up and use plastic i source ,will be spot on for sliders rust proof all yoi need is vice, jig saw ,rasp , sand paper ,drill , they last along time got a net with braide nylon and plastic rings lasted twenty years ,
