Attack Fell Terrier 864
i follow strongman and mma and respect both sports but its very rare to see a cross over tat works Certainly not world level but id say Ollie Thompson go,s against that theory.....national level mma just signed with the ufc and former Britains Strongest man. Yeah I was sat watching his fight against Mark Potter the other day and I was trying to rack my brain for ages trying to think of where I had seen Ollie Thompson before and then it occurred to me that he used to compete in Strongman. It'll be interesting to see how he gets on, best of luck to him .

Absolutely.....you,ll remember Mark from the boxing i was pretty confident he would get Thompson out of there with his boxing ability and he was in good nick for that fight as well......but just shows you only need a little knowledge to go with super strength and your in with a shout.....i wonder how his cardio will fair at the top level musculature that size can be as much a hindrance as a help in a distance fight. That's right, you'd of thought Mark would of sparked him, but fair play to Thompson he found a way to win. Hopefully he's got a bit of fuel in the tank and does well in the UFC. Mrquinn 106
imo words strong men dont make good ufc mma fighters to big and slow and have to much muscle to feed
moonlighter 1,165
Marius boxed for poland as an amiture, so he knows a thing or two about combat sports. If he had got into Mma from an early age then he would have been a force to be reckoned with, especially with his work effic. But for his 3rd fight to go against a former UFC champ like silva was purely done to put bums on seats and sell tickets.

valentino 0
mariusz was a great strongman.....however now i will remember him as a poor mma fighter....
Attack Fell Terrier 864
Mariusz just doesn't have the steam to be a competitive MMA fighter, and is a bit old now to be giving it a go. I seen him against the English fella James Thompson and Thompson leathered him, so I don't hold out any great expectations for Mariusz as a fighter if I'm honest. Simoman 110
Only saw Marius fight Tim Sylvia, as gnashersaid he is far too heavily muscled and looked gassed after 60 seconds, just a circus show to sell tickets.....

It was the most pathetic ground and pound I'd ever seen as well, yet it seemed enough for the Fat lad to tap. Pudz has lost to James Thompson and Tim Sylvia.

Must have fought twice then mate....Butterbean beat him in under 40 secs of the first round with a little clip on the nose......
