Vasectomy for hobs

Recommended Posts

Hi all

Gonna get my hob done but my vet wants £70 all in for the job.

He knows what he's doing with ferts as he's hunted with them for years and has given me loads of good info,so I'm more than happy for him to do the job but seems pricey.

How much have you guys and gals paid for this op,I'm based in west Sussex we seem to get raped by the vets down here price wise!!! Lol

I've got a first season hob here I want to get done as soon as his balls drop. I was quoted £130 a couple years ago at my vets, so £70 sounds good and £37 sounds bloody great!

I think I'll be phoning around all the vets in Nottinghamshire to see if I get get it for around the £70 mark.

dont know where people are located but these vets have a few pratices scattered around, il be using the woodley reading they charge £25 for neutering(thats what my hobs get) and £40 a vasectomy which is really good, on average you pay around £40 to £50 for neuter, £70 to £80 for a spay and vasectomy arond £70 to £90, but i have heard and i know people who have paid stupid expensive prices for the ferrets to be sorted, as unfortunely some vets see ferrets and there eyes glaze over as to what they can make of them as they are still classed as exotic pet.
