quick question

The answer is yes.

It does rather beg the question "why?"

The .177 at legal limit is perfect for flying rats in a structure. The FAC will gain you nothing in killing power at such short ranges, but will give you all sorts of trouble with a probable loss of accuracy, and more risk of damaging the structure. Also it will reduce the value of the rifle, as Mike says.

Keep it below 12 ft.lb, and if you really must have an FAC air rifle (don't see the point if you have .22LR) then buy one at FAC level from the factory!

i have fac air and 22lr there are places where i carnt use the rimmy, like a stud farm i do,a boarding school.near roads ect. my rapid had adjustable power 3 settings 12,27 and 42 flb`s so i have the flexibility to cover all situations  at 27flb`s the .20 cal is wicked

Answer is simple, yes, get an export only regulator fitted it will take it to 28 ft lb energy. Not saying how I could possible know this (like the idiot who sold me my super ten insisting it was below 12 ft lb had done this and I could never figure out why it had the flattest trajectory of any .22 I had ever fired, discovered way over with Combro and sold to an RFD who immediately put it on his ticket as he wanted one)!

So you admit being in possession of an illegal firearm on an open forum and you admit dealing in illegal firearms?

Mary, I think he needs a clip round the lugs again, this time with a baseball bat!

Tony it was unknowingly being in possession of one when we found out what it did. I took it to an RFD who did a search and found out it was not listed as being FAC, took it apart, found the reg, tried to get a new one adn told us the cost. He also offered to buy the rifle from us at a price that made it possible to replace it, so we decided to go that route. He put it on the FAC list and kept it. Worst thing was I got a new single shot Ultra!

Mike, I had no idea my rifle was running hot, but I still got a criminal record for it.

The fact that you knew that it was fac when you sold it, means you commited an illegal arms deal.

What I was trying to put across to you Mike is THINK before you broadcast stuff! ESPECIALLY when your admitting to illegal activities. What you put up could still now land you with a criminal record Mike.

You'll not get me to agree on this one. There's nothing a 20 odd ft.lb air rifle will do that a 12 won't in a confined space. If a shot is unsafe with a .22LR, then it's not safe with an air rifle either, no matter what power level. A sub 12ft.lb will do the job, so use it at that power level and get something more useful on the FAC!
