rabbiting with fiac

Recommended Posts

went out today with my mate to try the pup on some daytime rabbits and to get her working with the ferret. Its the first time she has done this and i was pleased how she performend, at first i held her until one bolted and tbh we lost a few this way as i wasnt quite awake :( , but laterly i let her free and she did well marking and staying in the vicinity like a pro.

the place we went is loaded with rabbits but equally loaded with warrens, so there are plenty of game but also plenty of holes to find sanctuary in, so it was pretty testing for the pup and at times a bit frustraiting as just when she was about to nail them they went back to ground, but its all a learning curve and im sure we will both be on the button given time.

Heres a few action shots..........
