bird feeders -- fecking jackdaws

should i be getting birds feeding off the feeders this time of year ? dont seem to be getting anything other than jackdaws swinging the feckers off tried everthing to keep jackdaws off but nowt seems to work anyone got jackdaw proof feeders ...

I dont feed at this time of year, unless after heavy snowfall, as there is still an abundance of natural food in supply, both berries/seed and insects.

 

On the other hand, my dad feeds all the year around, and the birds never seem to stop coming.

The mild weather means that natural food's more plentiful at the moment, but if we get a cold snap the birds'll flock to the feeders.

 

I agree with millet about the Jackdaws, imo shooting's the best option but those feeders should keep them off.

I dont feed at this time of year, unless after heavy snowfall, as there is still an abundance of natural food in supply, both berries/seed and insects.
