Tiercel 6,986
Any one who recommends 6z in 4" mesh does not know what they are talking about. To be blunt they have not a clue. To be honest, any one who sells 6z in 4" is ripping the buyer off. Nylon stretches, 4z stretches more than 6z . A 4" mesh is too small for a twine that does not stretch. 4z will stretch enough for a rabbit to get it's head through 6z will not that is why they bounce off the 6z. TC Quote Link to post

smithie 2,444
much cheeper to make your own £235 for 100 system might be a reasonable price if your wipeing your arse on fivers but you will be able to buy the net alone for £50 delivered or less (4z) depending where your shoping and we all have a friend who can weld, that leaves poles and gromits to source and im sure if you go back through the longnet section they will be plenty info to help. i would be amazed if you cant save £100 at least.. Not being funny Smithie but have you ever seen Masterhunters System? his basket system is completely different to anyone elses on the market once you've seen/tried his gear you'll realise he's obviously an experienced user that thinks about what is REALLY needed Y.I.S Leeview Quote Link to post
smithie 2,444
to be honest leeview i havent seen or used anything from masterhunters although i have seen quicksets are they really worth all that? going to have a look on his site now.. well i do like the idea of stainless tiped poles, it makes sence. i tradnet and probably will always prefer to do it that way but i will still make my own it just seems mine would be cheeper and they would be better out there, 4z option would be nice though. 3175darren 1,102
Jbs nets or Brian brindel failing that give bridport nets a call you can make em easy enough with sheet netting which is cheap enough, only thing with that is you got to get the poles and basket 4 0z is great 6oz bit heavier when wet can't go wrong with either Quote Link to post

However have you seen the prices he charges??? £5 for a pole and £25 for a kilo of 2/3mm braided nylon, i know what else he thinks is really needed...........profit. Scramble Quote Link to post
