oneshot1986 72
let him do what he wants, its his dog but he will be the 1 in tears when its f****d. i HAVE witnessed a dog that has been worked from a young age, walking miles day in day out, running at side of a push bike. You idiots think ur doing it a favour and getting it fit and strong. it will end up with bow legs, joint problems arthritis when its older. the bones are soft and fragile and yes pups runs round yard all day playing with other dogs i know this coz ive got a pup lurcher but after 15 - 20 min he stops and has a rest, your pup cant because your dragging it miles and miles on a f*****g lead. let the pup be a pup and if you want a good working lurcher spend ur time bonding and playing with the pup ( not saying you dont ). throw a ball in garden and get it retrieving, recalling etc. you say all this bollocks wolves walk miles and miles for food etc, i doubt there 9 week old pups do and there wolves not domesticated dogs like we have. u obviously dont care about your dog that much because its not fully inoculated, vets recommend not taking it out for 2 weeks after its last jab one he ent on a lead so i ent dragging him around and he was still running around at the end of the walk so he was hardly f****d he seems to enjoy it and he ent behind he was in front are you a man of experience or is the 1986 your birth date and you seem to think you know it all already but it only takes a day to read a book hey Quote Link to post

robwelsh 354
your asking for proof of damage etc, but most people have the common knowledge not to walk such a youngster so far, and like i said earlier, i gave you the answer to what it does, but your still digging for arguments etc you'll end up walking the weight off him too..pups need to be fed up and keep the weight on untill its fully matured (depending on breeding). put a pic up of your pup? never seen a malamute cross Edited November 25, 2011 by robwelsh Quote Link to post

oneshot1986 72
We took an 11 week old pup out ferreting all day sunday. She loved it. Taking a jabbed up pup out for a bit of ferreting sounds like a good idea , walking a nine week old puppy for miles a day sounds like you need a good kick in the bollocks. Agreed, the walking part is f*****g stupid, but i don't see too much problem taking a very young pup out at night just to experiance it all. ideation most folks would say that your stupid taking a 11 week old pup ferreting all day , so when you talk of of others methods please chose you words more carefully ,remember were both in the same boat atb oneshot Quote Link to post

bird 10,014
well all have our ways of bring'n pups up regards food+ exercise, and i( was) prob like alot on here that held pups back with exercise, till about 8-12 months old. But ive seen these dogs ( malamute x) run, and there drive+stamina is somthing else (BRILL) .and same with this pup, the dogs all have been took out very young from 8 weeks old. If this is what you( get) by doing this that way, well if i get another pup its what i will do next time. You would have a shock to see how the pups really come on this way.!! . The people who have this x have been in the dog game a long while as my self, they know what there doing 2 Quote Link to post
