A Day Out in Unexpected Company.

Recommended Posts

So, I was recently dropping in some rabbits to my local butchery, when I was introduced into a local patron of the shop. It was the Right Honourable Jack Straw, and he wanted me to ferret his land! I didn't have a clue who he was. It was only until he left the shop, that the daughter of my butcher told me who he was. I swiftly googled him to read his record. Impressive man. Needless to say, I was star struck upon knocking on his door early this morning in the crisp fog raising from the cold hard ground. We started the day by sitting in his kitchen, having a nice cuppa while we discussed views on badger culling, Blackburn Rovers and his very nice house. This was a short lived comfort as soon we were out and wandering the perimeter of his land being shown where the tasty rabbits were hiding. We soon netted up and the stinkers were shuffling around. Rumbles and quakes were soon heard under the walls, around the tree roots and under the soil. We rolled the day up with a fair 20 rabbits and Jack slipping us £20 for drinks as a thank you. We'll be back though, we're far from done on that land.
