Next shot was a squirrel, off a solid rest. Perfect position. Perfect rest. Perfect miss! It was going to be one of those edays i reckoned, and so it was! But toward the end of my walk i did manage a magpie and a squirrel. Nipped itno the last bit of woodland and the dog told me that a squirrel was up an oak. Couldn't see his head and so I weaved a pellet through his ribs and he came down to ground with a thud. The remaineding one had moved right to the very top of the tree and took some locating. But find him i did and he joined his friend. So, at least i managed to bag a couple of vermin, but still, i shot like Stevie Wonder! Can't have good days every day!! Happy hunting folks.
