Dewclaws

Recommended Posts

most people prefer to have them off when they are pups. imo it isnt the end of the world if you dog has them on as you can always have them removed off a adult dog. my old dog whos 7 has got his front dew claws on they have never caused him a problem. my 8 month old pup also has his on.

i take them off all dogs i breed, i took em off my saluki whippet pups, took them off the plummer pup i bred aswell, but my saluki x i have is about 2n a half? possibly coming up 3 actually not sure, ive ran him on plough on hills moor etc, and hes never even scraped the nail on the dew claw, i suppose its got a bit to do with if the dogs a neet runner or a clumsy runner, id prefer them off tho, its bout 350? to have them removed s an adult!
