I put a carpet base in the sleeping boxes, (I get carpet "samples" for 50p each) and "VetBed on top of that. Change the carpet and wash the VetBed when neccassary.

I use straw myself unibed horse bedding.

Never had any problems with parasites and i have used it for a couple of years.

I've used carpet before and the dog ended up with carpet burns trying to scartch itself a comfy spot to lie in so that got swiftly binned. At the moment I use clean hessian sacks as I can get them from work. When we move the lurchers going to use the couch as a bed

Mine are bedded down on a horse bedding made out of plant fibres really really cheap fluffs up when clean it and ultra absorbent too and doesn't smell as has something in it to stop smell love it found it by chance though and as fibre it doesn't blow away like paper bedding.

i just use a 2" thick dog bed fit in washer just fine and the kennel is 2nhalf inch thick (18mm ply wood 2" insulation then another 18mm ply wood) plenty warm enough even warmer with a flat over the bob hole

I've got rubber cow mats on the floor and shredded paper about 2ft deep keeps them really warm

Shredded paper, checked daily and changed when wet . If its getting dragged out try a higher board on bedding area, even terriers will jump 2 foot into a bed

i got 4 growing kids here so what i do is instead of throwing out there old clothes,the dogs get them as bedding.

works a treat.
