You don't have to skin them before you freeze them, I find the skin helps to protect the meat from freezer burn. I chuck a whole rabbit at a time in to my three jills in the winter..

Malt has answered your first question, you don't have to skin them before you freeze them.

As for the second question, there's no set answer to this one as individual ferrets will have differing needs

as per the amount of feed they require which can be down to what size and how active they are as in how much work they get so it will be a case of trial and error for you, if they are getting porky feed less and obviously if they are looking thin up their feed.

I always freeze rabbit etc before feeding to ferts. Got a good measure as to how much meat they will eat overnight, saves waste. I chop them up into portions so each fert has it's own. I've a few who don't like sharing, so portions spares the arguements. Anything for an easy life!

1 Whole Rabbit will last my 6 Working gills 2 days.

lucky git ive got 2 of my jills in a court on there own as they wont settle with the others and will get through a rabbit in a day and a half, the others (4) get through 3 in 2 days. just shows how much each ferret is different
