Done that in the rearing feild a few years back and i didnt like it. Learned that day quite quickly that when you smell gas its not the best idea to try and ignite a lighter.........BOOM!!!! Put it all back together and get a new dimmer, then change it like for like. Or if you can't wait, put the Red into the White Terminal and just use the other switch untill you've got the new dimmer.
