What sort of rifle do you prefer? Carbine? Full length? Take down (ie one that dismantles and goes in a bag)? Some more info is needed, if you are after a nice hunting rifle that is easy enough to handle, accurate as hell and in your price range, try a Scorpion SE! If secondhand appeals you can get a heck of a lot of guns for your money, HW 100s, BSAs, Webleys, Loguns, Daystates, Air Arms, the list goes on and on...
