hedz31 1,308
artic ive been out with ye pre-ban seen dogs on quarry now did that dog let go and did it not go on for 5 to 10 mins as we didnt have a break stick and the animals throat was cut it was also noisey and thrashing it can be done quicker and quieter I may be doing it completely wrong Hedz, but how about your dog catches, prey is on the gound, quickly straddle prey (cos that's what i do) get dog to leave stab prey in heart? Happens as quickly as it took me to type it. As quickly as that is it ive stuck deer sweetheart in the heart and watched them get up on occasion and run abit more or thrash at least another good few mins cut the throat as well it is much quicker but not as quick as i typed this it takes a little longer Quote Link to post
Guest Josy
Didnt you have a really bad fight on your hands a few year ago with dogs high tailing it and getting lost because you could not stop the fight? Correct.. ..i did write about the encounter on here some years ago..and i have had to break many a dog scrap up in my time..that particular occasion you mention was a 6 way fight on a routine exercise walk in the pitch dark..the fight was stopped pretty quick as any other i encounter are..and not once have i ever needed a chav stick..and even if i did have one it would of been no use unless i had arm's like a octopus with a stick in each hand.. Your dogs are so well trained some ran away and got lost, didnt you call there names? or doesnt recall come into your interpretation of being well trained 1 Quote Link to post
Millet 4,497
You obviously needed a pond on that occasion, silly man I know don't rub it in.. ..i could of kicked my self over forgetting my pond i now have one in my game bag at all times.. Quote Link to post
chimp 299
ok ive got to put my hands up here and say im a bit lost , maybe it's a thl thing. if a dog is bred for certain prey in which a stick is needed would you be having that dog in your house sleeping on your furniture? a non biased poll should be put up, it would be intresting to see the results right or wrong atb Quote Link to post
