ALRIGHT DLM.

GOT A 3YROLD BROADBACK BITCH ONCE .

THIS BITCH WAS TAUGHT TO JUMP AND RETRIVE AND DID AT LEAST 50/60 MILES A WEEK ROUGH COUNTRY AND SHE COULD CHASE 3/4 MINS BUT COULDNT CORNER A FXXK SHE WAS ELECTRIC 100MPH ALL THE WAY ,BUT IF SHE DIDNT GET THEM STRAIGHT LINE IT,BE A MAD KAMIKAZE STRIKE THAT YOU WERE LOOKING AWAY GOING AHHHHHHHHHHH. 45/55 SHED GET THEM,PLENTY STAMINA/NO TURNING ABILITY.

SO ITS BOTH IN THE GENES AND BRINING IT OUT A 600YRD SPRINTER

people say if you want stamina in your breeding add saluki if this is true and lot of people swear by having atouch of saluki then its in genes but add to the fact that alot of other breeds could also add stamina ie collie as the hill collie is very rugged and can add stamin and brains to the mix would it not be fairer to say most breeds with plenty of exercise and road work will build up speed and stamina after all you cant catch quarry without putting time and effort into your dogs my views are that the more running and the more work they get the more they will run

todays greyhounds are the sprinters of the canine world, maximum muscle for relative short distances,,shouldn't really compare the two,,one bred to catch, the other bred to race another canine to the first turn,,

Whilst stamina improves with fitness, no sprinter has the muscles capable of endurance work. They are different sorts of muscles. The sprinter's muscles 'fire' very fast: the electrical impulses which make them contract fire much faster than the muscles of an endurance runner, whether human or canine.
