Aye lets just say that whippet with collie ancestry mate and knock it oan the heid lol hows yours getting oan ? Haha, knew i'd wear you down eventually. I'm not knocking her, if you ever decide you want rid, send her to wales! Aye, mine is no bad, got 4 working legs, which is a bonus considering, healed up pretty well, but you can see he feels it after some hard running, still faster than a lot of dogs though, and as i don't really lamp him it's no real hindrance. He's been picking up rabbits here and there over the summer on our mooches, but is still a headstrong little bugger. Had him out with the ferrets for an hour or so the other day, he had fun, first time the ferret popped up he steamed in and i thought bye bye ferret, but as he saw what it was he slammed the brakes on and looked guilty as f**k, so nice to see he remembers his manners. Looking forward to this season with him, as long as i can keep him off the operating table. Fingers crossed, i wouldn't change him for owt, he's my best mate and my right arm when it comes to ferreting. Maybe end of season we will come up north and see you guys. Quote Link to post

It's amazing how some dogs click to it and some you can never really trust. My current dog, when he was a pup, i tried all the usual breaking techniques, but he just wanted to kill them, even as a young pup, i couldnt let them drink from the same bowl or anything, he just wanted to rag the shit out of them. Then i took him ferreting and he saw them work and went 'ohhhhhhhh riiiiiiiiiight i get ya now' and has been fine (fingers crossed) since. One of my hobs escaped last season and i found him in the dog kennel chewing on a meaty bone with the dog. Quote Link to post
The one 8,585
Our lurcher always been fine around the ferrets and out working them ,then the last time she was out we had all the rabbits piled up and a ferret was sniffing about them and the lurcher started growling at the ferret and flew at it corrected herself and stopped short ,she was jealous of the ferret touching the rabbits Quote Link to post
