I have Cardews book,, airgun, from trigger to muzzle,

 

This is an older book, but is the definitave text on springers,, how they work, where there losses take place etc,,

 

Simon (pianoman) this is right up your street bud,, This book does NOT tell you how to power up your air rifle though just a highly detailed breakdown of the workings of a springer,,

 

I`ll send it free, to someone who would appreciate it,, I would actually prefer if this book could be read and passed on around the forum,, It`s out of print and is a technical gem..

 

 

I have to say again thought,, if you ask for this book to tune up your gun,, your wasting your time,, It`s highly technical,, using a lot of math to explain where all the energy is used in the spring air rifle,,defining what percentage losses occur throughout the operation.

Would you kindly pass it on to me Wurze, please when you have finished reading it as, thanks to this shit laptop going tech, I've been unable to respond to Rake's kind offer in time. I'll return it to you mate as soon as I can. As I have steadfastly refused all PCP rifles and have decided that I will be a springer man to my last shot. I could do with some technical reference know-how to keep my beloved rifles as good as new.

 

I'll copy what I think is essential and get it back to you ASAP.

Rake, or whoever the book is with currently, have you got an ISBN and/or title and author for it? It sounds interesting, I've just finished a book on ballistics and would love to have a read of this book.
