I can see him looking at them, looking at me and thinking, 'why the f**k are you being so calm. . .. it's just f*****g stood there and there ain't a hedge in sight. . .. come on then papa, lets roll". He's fine with any kind of working dog and that's pretty much all he interacts with off lead. This heat is shit mate, can't even walk the dog in the day, he's fecking black. Roll on winter, snow driving the bunnies to ground, and seeing steam rising out the holes before the dog has even marked, no cover, bit of a f****r to get the pegs in but hey ho, tie them to the fence, wrap them round a rock, what ever. Nets on, ferret out the hay in her box, slinks down like a little white snake, silent for a minuite or so, then bump bump, bumpety bump, dog tenses and whines, ears up, bump bump, whoosh, rabbit bolts like a little grey rocket, net frozen solid, rabbit bangs it straight off, and makes his bid for freedom, straight down the bank, under the fallen tree, dog goes flying over the top, a bang, a bump, and then that beautiful squeal, and dog comes trotting back around the tree, happy as that pig in sherbet. And then bunnies 4 mates decide to vacate, and all hell breaks lose. Quote Link to post

johnny boy68 11,726
Got a bitch here that'll be doing her first full season........she's been on a few ferreting trips towards the end of last season. I'm not really expecting much to start as her marking is not quite there yet though she seems to watch the old bitch a lot and will hopefully pick up a lot from her. Quote Link to post
KittleRox 2,147
Hows she bred Johnnyboy ? Quote Link to post
Ideation 8,217
As far as i know mate, she is bull/whippet/grey x beddy/grey/whip (or close enough). Saw the little bitch make a great catch on the lamp the other night, and a good retrieve. She is fast as f**k, and a real character. I look forward to watching her develop this season.
