festa 206 Posted July 16, 2011 Report Share Posted July 16, 2011 hi lads well after looking at the weather reports it seemed we had a chance for a couple of hours out wor kid arrived at mine for 23:30 last night and we got to the ground around 00:30 after the normal quick zero coffee and piss we drove onto the new field for our 1st real look about after about 30mins or so we spotted headlights going down the track then 2 mins back it came we thought nothing of it until i spotted this bloke walking over to were we where so i click the safety on it was the local trout farm manager who wasnt impressed muttering on about it was a bit late to be out (lol cos of course we all lamp during the day) but not wanting to cause any agro for the farmer we moved up the top end out his way and cracked on with the job in hand darryl had his trusty hw100 with the nv scope and i decided to take the s200 out on the lamp this place was normally lamp shy but we gave it a rest about 6 month ago so just to test the water the lamp it was . after about 2 to 3 hours i headed back to the van managing 7 rabbits the best of which were 3 playing in one of the paddocks i got down on my belly (and no i didnt rock from side to side) the 1st one dropped and the other 2 just looked at it so it was followed by the 2nd and the 3rd legged it about 10 yards towards the light shortly followed by thud and it seems the lamp shyness isnt as bad as it was anyway as someone forgot his carrying belt u now had 7 bunnies to hump back to the van 30mins later followed by wor kid he had 2 so all in all not a bad little couple of hours i know theres only 6 in the pic i started feeding the ferrets before i remembered to take the pic atb gary ary Quote Link to post

Marksman 934 Posted July 17, 2011 Report Share Posted July 17, 2011 went out to a small local permission on the way back from wor kids and managed another 4 so mine made 6 in total, but had them chopped up for the ferrets before I got a photo On the plus side I managed to bag permission on a 4 acre stables with trotting track next door to the small permission Darryl Quote Link to post
