A friend of mine had a glen of imaal x beagle accidental litter about 8 or nine years ago-one turned out very like a small irish terrier and the other one a lot like a working type wheaten.Id say theyd have very good noses. What sort of temperment had they tinytiger,as the few glens ive seen were not to be trusted about other dogs, and the beaglex would id imagine be worked in a pack. Quote Link to post

Only 2 bitches lived out of the litter-they both ended up with a cousin of the guy who had the parents of them. There was no problems between them until they were about 3,He came home from work one day and the one that looked like a wheaten had the other 1 and a labrodor he had ,both killed and half eaten. The glen i used over my bull russell last year was the same one they were by-we had to get her artificially inseminated-he was on a horn allright but hed have killed her before he rode her.He was only around 7 months old when he covered the beagle.Hes as bad minded a dog as youd ever come accross..The bitch i kept out of that litter got killed on the road in me but a few guys i dig with have others of the litter and theyre going good-all of them are very bad with other dogs-attack completely out of the blue over nothing,no warning ,just straight in.. My grandfather lord have mercy on him told me the best ever dog he had on the big lads was a kerry blue/beagle crossbred, that would have been back around the 1930s id say(probably kerry blues have declined a lot since then) Quote Link to post
