Gala week pet show

Well it`s Gala week here, and to kick it off they have the local vet judge the pet show,, so the two grandsons had the big Hob with his wee bell on his harness, and the old Jill, with het NEW! pink harness and leash, along to the show,, all went well and the big fella took second place and got a lovely rosette! hahah,, anyway,, my main point is this, while I had the ferrets there,, ALL the kids wanted to see and clap them,, no fear in them at all and none of them even asked if they bit,, they just came straight over and wanted to pick them up and pet them,, asking to walk them on there leads,,

On the other hand 90% of the adults there seemed terrified of them, One saidd the Jill was looking at her funny !!

I was pretty amazed at the difference in attitudes and it seems a lot of folk still think they are viscious wee buggers .Even after watching there own kids pet them and play with them. they still would not even get too close to them,, Like the ferrets were going to launch an attack hahaha

Strange eh??

my in laws are the same,i'll handle my ferrets no trouble then my 3 year old has a hold, even the mrs has a hold and then they are like ooh don't they bite? even though they've watched them be picked up and handled by everyone else...

i suppose most people of that generation just assume they are viscious little buggers,so hopefully we can bridge that gap in the near future... ;)

Well done for that mate, ever since the late Brian Plummer took a couple of ferrets into the calender tv studios and one latched onto the presenter Richard whitelys finger on live TV (it did get him real proper too!!) everyone thinks all ferrets are biters, it was a PR disaster for ferrets!!!.
