robwelsh 354
It's a kids gun lol I got one here for my boy and it doesn't go through two sides of a pop bottle from about 15yards lol think they are 7 ft lbs, either that or it needs a look at but its pretty new like lol Quote Link to post
StevoSmith 147
Get your rifle chrono'ed mate.......and dont whatever you do get an Ox spring......welshwilly does some real nice tuning kits......Dont got shooting any live quarry until you know what the rifle is putting out....as has been said.....max power is not the issue....it's the marksmen behind the rifle that comes first....Ox springs can mess up rifles real easy...a good de burr and clean, relube and reseal will normally solve all problems Quote Link to post
Malt 379
Only experience I ever had with the ox springs was when my old man put one in his old HW 35. Damn thing near wrecked it.. Quote Link to post
robwelsh 354
I can't shoot it comfortable, neither can my 11yr old anymore. That's why I'm on the look out for a gun which is light but adult gun. Personally I wouldn't shoot at anything other than tins an bottles with it, afterall its a junior starter gun that is way low on power..an increasing it will probably only make it shoot like a pig. secretagentmole 1,701
Rob. HW 95 sir, light, full powered and a lovely trigger, low on recoil for a lighter weight rifle too! Quote Link to post
robwelsh 354
I was looking at these, still think it will be too long..even the carbines are fairly long. He could only hold my huntsman for a few seconds the otherday..only thing I can think of is the brocock contour atm, but would rather get him firing a Springer the best he can..pcps make you lazy and bad habbits , but this gun is too small and every Springer will be to heavy lol..its supposed to be a supprise but with a gun I don't think it can be like lol Quote Link to post
Flow 18
HW95K only weighs 7.4 lbs/3.4kg, I would have thought an 11 year old would be able to shoot that. Quote Link to post
robwelsh 354
Flow are you serious? Quote Link to post
Flow 18
Yeah mate, I was shooting an "adults" springer at 11 years old. Quote Link to post
robwelsh 354
But was you a big 11 year old ? Lol I still think a 8lb gun, by the time u fit a scope is too heavy Quote Link to post
barrywhite 282
ox springs are ok .If you and your gun need a work out,but no good for shooting. Quote Link to post
