gnasher16 31,602
Well thats my Hammers dead and buried.....i dare say some of us take sport too serious sometimes but when you put so much hope into something for so little reward it can be a depressing path we walk.I love this club, its cost me literally thousands over the years without ever really having much to shout about,so to fall away like we have tests every last bit of loyalty, the times ive said " thats it ive had enough "....as any real fan of a club knows, you always go back ! Coming back down the m6 yesterday i was adamant i would never go to another West Ham game,by the time i got home i realised id had 3 phone conversations with pals about new managers, new players, new grounds we would be going to next year !! This club has so many problems it would be daft to blame one thing we just have to accept we are not Man Utd,Liverpool or Arsenal and never will be....while you lads are visiting Old Trafford,Anfield and The Emirates next year.....some of us will be plodding along to Doncaster,Barnsley and the like Ive always believed competetive sport can test a mans character like nothing else,i just thought that all stopped when you dont compete anymore ....how wrong i was. Congratulations to the big clubs i hope Utd go on and win the Champions league and OUR Rio lifts the trophy Edited May 16, 2011 by gnasher16

It's gonna come to a lot of clubs in England Gnasher. You can't keep going the way you are, it's impossible. The banks had the same philosophy, just keep lending and borrowing it will be ok, look what happened to them. It's a dangerous road going down the let a billionaire make us there play thing like all the big English clubs are. We are too passionate about our clubs for that. Good luck anyhow and I hope you sort your problems. My club has it's own problems, namely the whole of Scotland wanting to change our manager for us by any means possible. Football eh, f*****g love it

And its come back to bite them in the ass, needless to say,my thoughts about them are somewhat mixed

I'm no QPR fan but my understanding of the Falcao thing (whatever his name is) was that the deal was done before Warnock took over.Plus to be fair as a neutral i think Blades were hard done to over the whole affair and i'd of been interested in the outcome if it had happened the other way around.I'm no Blades fan either, i keep an eye on them as my mates lad is the under 18's captain and alot of my friends support them Anyway a sad time for your club and i can only hope you bounce back next year to where you belong As for your new ground my dad the deluded muppet still thinks Orient should get it (he's their one and only fan ) .No lie, he took me to the ground one year while we were down visiting family and the ticket office was a porter cabin.Inside there was an old lady knitting scarves on on of those sliding machines while answering the phone Edited May 16, 2011 by pegleg33

zigzag dan 784
Gnash ,as you know , me being a Wolves fan , ive seen all divisions over the years , and to be honest , unless you support one of six clubs , all you are hoping for each year is to stay up , ask yourself , is the final two thirds of the Prem any differant to the Championship ? . Take all the glitter away and its a case of the haves and have nots . Youll have your good days out next year im sure , Brighton , possibly here at Wolves , and im sure youll get a warm welcome down the Old Kent Rd , "Thats West Ham taking liberties at Millwall " ! Malt 379
I'm gutted to see the Hammers get relegated, for me they will always be a club that belongs in the top flight of English football. I don't think the new owners helped the cause this year. While they were perfectly entitled to say whatever they wanted to about the club & players after investing so much, I reckon there were a few times where they could have held back some of their public criticisms at crucial stages of the season. People might say the players are paid enough to preform on the pitch no matter what happens off it, but some of the comments made by the owners must have a negative effect on the playing staff & maybe went some way to creating a 'them & us' attitude within the club when what was needed was unity. JMHO.
WILF 51,230
Some of those players are just not good enough Malt and some of them clearly thought they were better than they are. I for one have long wanted to see Paulo Di Canio get the managers job, loose cannon maybe but the guy has real passion, has played and won things at the very highest level and most of all he knows what it means to be a supporter. He deffinately helped the Rio/Frank/Joe generation become more than they would have been as players.........and he could show the Carlton Coles of this world how you go about knocking a goal or two in the back of the net......my personal opinion is, the likes of Cole wouldnt make a PDC team!! In the dressing room, when a bloke who has played for some of the greatest teams in the world tells you it aint good enough at half time, then you know it aint good enough.....end of......and so what if theres a bit of screaming and shouting, after 23 years of playing adult football myself I can tell you, its what is required sometimes! A good kick up the arse never did any team any harm and those without the passion to respond shouldnt be in the f*****g team. I though he may get the job when they brought in Glen Rhoder, a man whos greatest acheivement was to be Gazzas bag carrier at Lazio......please tell me what part of that made sense? Dont know if its just me, but when a game is going down the pan with 15 minutes on the clock you want to see that your manager is feeling the pain with you, you want him kicking the waters bottles and doing his nut........not sat there like a cardboard f*****g cut out! When you dont have money to spend, then you need balls and passion (remember the crazy gang?)......and I think Paulo has that in droves.
scalesntails 118
Just try on look on the bright side mate. Next season you will be visiting different clubs so you will have a change of scenery and you can also enjoy winning most of the matches safe in knowledge that you can expect to finish in the top 5 at least. He sat their whingeing and moaning and didnt stop till we got a massive fine, the fact was his side lost to us home and away and we ended up 15th......no doubt about it QPR deserve to go up as they have been the best team, and Warnock is a good manager.....but i,ll be amazed if he gets a look in at this club. Nothing wrong with the O,s mate....ive been down their many times my lad was on their books till he discovered girls !!...Good family club Edited May 16, 2011 by gnasher16

I know what your saying Dan i spose we all want to compete with the best its the nature of sport....i knew early on in the season we would be going down but you always hope to be proved wrong of course. The only consolation is getting into the ol Bushwhackers again though i think it will probably be played behind closed doors myself. Think your lot will probably stay up at least i hope so anyway....im a purist i like the big clubs to be playing at the highest level...and make no bones about it Wolves are a big club with history. All the best.
