Ideation 8,217
Quick question - how did you end up with kits and it was a surprise???? Did you no natice the hob ramming your jill, or the jill getting really fat, losing hair and having nipples like bullets? Quote Link to post

whippet 99 2,613
hi guy i am a bit worried about my kit and jill, i went in to the box and took her out and held her and i saw the kits when i put her back in, will she eat them now she is really tame thank guy she will be fine dont panic captain , when you take her out you can tell by looking at her teats that there feeding off of her, they will stretch and in large , if you cant hear them squeaking its because they have not long had a feed and are flat out a sleep. give her plenty of milk and dont feed her raw meat as she will stash it in the nest and you will get maggots in the nest. i feed biscuit as well. avoid the nest if you can but i check every week to make sure shes cleaning them nicely you can do this without any contact , but make sure shes not around as more than likely she will nip you, no matter how tame. after about 4 weeks they may start appearing with one eye open , make sure they can reach milk i put a saucer in too make it easy for them . by about 6 weeks you can feed them raw meat and they are like little piranhas. the jill will do a fantastic job, she will even move them if there cold or too hot. enjoy it Quote Link to post

whippet 99 2,613
check the corners of her box as she will store it there and when you get the stench you will probably have maggots in the box and this means too clean them out you have too disturb the nest. it will be fine just be vigalant your only got kits not human babies . look after the gill and she will do the rest, good luck ps you worry me lol Quote Link to post
