SEAN3513 7
it dosn't matter shot placement over calibre everytime Quote Link to post
rossi_j 99
Oh no not this again  Yeti, it realy dosent matter mate, both are equal and have pro's and con's wich im sure we will hear about shortly, the decision is yours and witchever you choose if you practace enough you will become blisteringly accurate, accuracy is the name of the game, I would say s400 for mainly target use, s410 for mainly hunting, both as good as each other and a superb choice of rifle And welcome to the forum .atb. .ste. YetiWithRifle 0
Ty for the comments It seems there is very little difference (about .023 of a difference) It is also apparent that it is more a light hearted .22 club va .177 club. Which, doesnt really matter Quote Link to post
SEAN3513 7
the difference is trajectory .177 being flatter .22 is harder hitting, but has less range its all really down to the size of your fingers Quote Link to post
Daz 7 563
Just Accuracy Mate whether.177, .22, .25, as long as you can place your Shots in the Kill zone every time Calibre isn't an issue, and Welcome to the Forum Bud. Regards Daz. Quote Link to post

Regards Daz. Hey you forgot .2! I shoot both .177 and .22! The .22 has the stopping power and is slightly more forgiving of bad aim with the impact it delivers. .177 you have to be precise, very precise, it is also a little more affected by wind (the stuff in the weather not emanating from the shooter). However .177 will drop a rabbit with the best of them, just get good at aiming! Quote Link to post
Karpman 44
.177 is great no doubt about it, for me just misses that little something from a .22 My .177 s200 is deadly no doubt about it but yearn for a .22 so saving for a springer. cheers Karpman Quote Link to post
andyfr1968 772
They say .22's a mans caliber and .177's for girls..... I mainly use .20 but I'm comfy with my lifestyle choice...!! Quote Link to post

What it's the metro sexual caliber then? .22 would suit the sausage fingered fat bloke but .177 is more for the artisan hunter. Either that or I'm talking sh.it again. I'd not thought of it as being 'metro sexual' before!! I take your point though Maybe I should start wearing those poncey pink shirts that seem so popular with that crowd...??  Quote Link to post
jasper65 6
I shoot a .177 and prefer this calibre mainly because: 1 = Its a Girly Calibre and I'm a bit that way Inclined  2 = Pellets are cheaper 3 = Flatter Trajectory 4 = Its travels Faster 5 = Its got more FPS that a .22 at the same 12ft/lbs limit 6 = You need less holdover at Range 7 = Personaly I think it has more Penetration and my wife tells me good penetration is everything Jasp Quote Link to post
