vld 62
Anyone work whippey/greys on the lamp? How many runs could you get out of them on the lamp rabbiting? Heres mine - she's 7 now still got loads of stamina - Have never done more than about 20 slips (as we're pretty short on bunny's) but thats never been a problem. Lot of stamina and alot of heart on bigger things too (preban) so can't fault them. Quote Link to post

whip x grey 276
Anyone work whippey/greys on the lamp? How many runs could you get out of them on the lamp rabbiting? iam more off racing man now than a hunter , ,,,and hence family man at weekend take son racing instead,,,,but will take mine out for mooch ( i,e a walk up ) ,,,,neibour has 5/ths grey x 3/8ths whip brought up to hunt,,,,and does well lamping rabbits or without lamp in certain light he seems to do well enough for pot ,,,,latey i was out with mates beardie collie gross,,,,,she used her nose more in longer grass better than mine,,,,,,mine didnt use there nose as good,,,but used the sight more at distance so i would say yes whipx grey better in shorter cover as they depend on there eyes i,e sight more ,,,,,,than the lurcher who does both,,,,,,depends on ur ground u run and ur premission grews will do well they have the speed and sight,,,,,as long as they have good feet ur on a winner,,,,dont get me wrong they do use there nose to good effect,,,,but there is better Quote Link to post
