much easier to get a good doer down a few pounds to running wieght than to get a poor one up there when it won't eat anything. let your pup put on a wee bit, keep her active in the park and her batteries will be fully charged a ready to go at stubble time

I've never understood this "my dog puts loads of wheight on in summer" ! My dogs get pleanty of exercise, their food is adjusted to suit, and, although they are not in as hard a condition that they are in the "season", their wheight doesn't vary by much between winter and summer!

Cheers.

Why very little excersise in summer, my dogs are worked hard during winter months, but now they get a very different kind of excersise, lots of road walking, swimming, free running,

MY way off thinking is there body needs rest its nothing do with exercise is do with there bones and that need a break 2 recover from hitting ditches fences walls etc etc they get walked and swimming but no where near what they would get from July on wards

Fair comment, we all look after our dogs in different ways, now then i see on another topic you are looking at a 30% complete for your dog, far to much protein in my opinion if you are resting your dog up, may i suggest if you must feed a complete use this, RED MILLS TRACKER. 20% protein

good luck with your dog
