Pork isn't any more salty than other meats. It's only because salt was traditionally used to preserve it that people think its salty. Ham, bacon, gammon etc are salty but unprocessed pork is fine. Pork does take slightly longer than beef or chicken to digest but its only about 30 minutes more per kilo. Pork digests in humans at the same speed as baked beans and faster than bread digests. You are right though . Pork has a reputation for going rancid very quickly. So I'd be inclined to take out what they hav'nt eaten in one day whatever the weather .
