Well, it's not just a young mans game this here computer lark, so I settled down with a bottle of wine and decided to knock you up a signature pic of your very own. Now, I could have just thrown together a few pics of people ferreting, lamping, etc, but thats a bit 'old skool', instead I set my addled brain to thinking about YOU. And, please don't take offence, I have to admit that my image of you is that of a time long gone by. I see you as the kind of guy walking into an old hardware store to buy your traps, whilst your old horse waits outside. Obviously, I cannot replicate such times so I thought about what would give that feel - and the answer has to be old newspaper. So thats what I've done, a snippet from an old news paper! You might not want it, that's down to you, but it's here for your use if you like. Of course, you may have to back-track on your comment about letting your text do the talking but hey, who said life was easy If so, right click the image, select properties and use the address in your signature. I happen to really like 'Old Newspaper' stuff too. In fact, in town, one of the pubs daughters is an artist. What she's done is paint all over several of the bars walls. She's skillfully replicated - just like that - snippets of genuine old local papers from a byegone time. Damned if she hasn't used the same colours too! It's the best bit of pub decor I've ever seen ~ and I've seen the inside of a few pubs in my time! But ye have to forgive me, mate. I can't possibly attatch it to my every post here. It'd start an avalaunche of attempted replications and this place would grind to a complete stand still, rather than the almost total grinding halt it's presently reached. I'm almost losing the will to live as I sit here, staring at a green screen for minutes on end, each time I click to open a new Thread That's why, only yesterday, having rebuked RH and his fellows for adding so many KB to everything they do here I even decided to take down the original half of my own Signature. Figured it'd run it's time and I really oughta put my own money where my mouth was. What sort of example would I be setting if I now completely turned around and slapped a picture on my own Posts? Bad of all Bads, surely? Tell ye what I'll do man; By way of compromise here ~ and apart from taking a copy of that choice piece of work to my own Shadow Box, here on my pc, I'll shuffle off now and open my own " Gallery ", inside my Profile. I'll put that in there. Then, according to the random dictates of this place, it'll appear now and then at the bottom of the main page. Become part of the entire site without - I hope? - further exaserbating an already bad situation here. How's that? And Thanks again, Crow. That Really Is a smashing piece of work.
